इत्थं तथेति बहुना किमुदीरितेन
भूयस्त्वयैव ननु जन्मनि भुक्तमुक्तम् ।
एतावदेव कथितं तव संकलय्य
सर्वापदां पदमिदं जननं जनानाम् ॥९८॥
अन्वयार्थ : हे भव्यजीव ! यह शरीर ऐसा है और वैसा है, इस प्रकार बहुत कहने से क्या प्रयोजन सिद्ध होनेवाला है ? तूने स्वयं ही इस संसार में उसे अनेक बार भोगा है और छोडा है । संक्षेप में संग्रहरूप से तुझे यही उपदेश दिया है कि यह प्राणियों का शरीर सब दुःखों का घर है॥९८॥
Meaning : O worthy soul! No point narrating in detail the nature of the body. In this world, you have yourself enjoyed and discarded the body many times over. Briefly and in essence, the teaching for you is that this body of the living beings is home to all kinds of miseries.
